 Book the Innovation Center

The Innovation Center is a multipurpose space used for a variety of events. Colonial staff can reserve the spaces through the Data Service Center facilities requests.

Please note: The Lounge and Library areas are used during student hours for Distance Learning classes. 

All reservations for the Innovation Center are made through the Data Service Center (DSC). In your dashboard, go to  “Facilities”, then click “Internal Facilities Request”.

Below is a tutorial showing you how to see when the space(s) are available and how to book the Innovation Center.

How to Reserve Spaces in DSC

23 STEPS

1. The first step is to open Data Service Center and click Login

2. Click Facilities

If you do NOT see facilities on your list of applications, submit a tech ticket via https://colonial.incidentiq.com/. Request access to submit facitilies requests.

3. To view current availability, click Facilities Calendar

4. Use the dropdown menu to select a "Room".

5. Note- each area of the Innovation Center is listed as a seperate room.
For the example, we will select Innovation Center - Fishbowl

6. Be sure to check the box to Include Pending Requests

7. Click Go

8. You can view a different month by clicking on the month names in the top left and right corners of the calendar.

9. Because we checked the box, we will see Pending Requests in gray.

10. Click Return to Main Menu

11. To enter a new reservation, click the Submit New Internal Facilities Request.

*Note- External Requests are for outside agencies. School-related events books by Colonial personnell should use Internal Requests.

12. Type the Event Name

13. Type Event Description

14. Type Total # Attending

15. Choose the area that will suit the needs of your event

16. Select Date, Time, and Room(s) for your event

17. You can add multiple dates to the same request by selecting Add Additional Day

18. You can change the Date Option to apply recurring dates based on patterns (Example: Weekly reservation for every Wednesday)

19. Click Continue

20. Confirm Event Information
If the space is unavailable, it will indicate the conflict in red.

21. Edit Request to adjust Dates/Times as needed or to make changes

22. Confirm Event Information
If there are no red conflicts, click Submit Request to reserve the space.

23. You will receive an email confirmation when your request has been accepted (or denied).

Innovation Center Spaces

Fishbowl

  • Max Capacity = 30 pp
  • Glass classroom with 24 student desks + 1 teacher desk
  • Includes SMARTboard, Front/Back Webcams, Built-in microphones ("Room & Zoom"), and telephone (x5204)

Lounge

  • Max Capacity = 60 pp
  • Open area with large tables, high-top tables/ stools, and couches.
  • Includes two TVs with HDMI connections.

Library (included with Lounge reservation)

  • Max Capacity = 25 pp
  • Area near bookshelves, includes a worktable with dividers, couches, benches, and a high-top counter space with stools
  • No media displays/ TVs, but there is a whiteboard in the corner of the room

Pods

  • Max Capacity = 6 pp
  • Small groupwork rooms encased in glass walls & sliding doors
  • Include a TV with HDMI connection and a large whiteboard

Huddle

  • Max Capacity = 10 pp
  • *NEW* Conference room with a large conference table and rolling chairs 
  • Ample counterspace and sink. Includes a TV with HDMI connection
